When I went to the "punk: chaos to couture" exhibit, my appreciation for luxury deepened, which, frankly, I didn't think was possible because I've loved fancy things since I started walking. Vivienne Westwood, Versace, Alexander McQueen, and Balmain are a few of the design houses that were featured. Most of the pieces displayed at this exhibit were not wearable fashion. They truly belong in a museum.

I always chuckle when camo gets attention for being a hot trend because this is a print that never really goes out of style. Camo has taken centerstage for the season, but like leopard, this is a print that always seems to be in style. 

I constantly need inspiration, something to fuel my imagination in order to get me pumped up about what I do. That can be anything from a walk through the park to museum exhibit to a letter from a fan.

When I started BodyRock Sport, my goal was simple-to create a line of fabulous sports bras for other fitness/fashion fanatics craving versatility in their lives. I wanted a drawer filled with fitness gear that I loved, not loathed!

I viewed my debut collection of sports bras as functional accessories that could be worn from day-to-night! The same rings true today.

Those of you who own our sports bras can certainly attest to their versatility. Which is why we are annoucing a new contest called "Not Your Basic Babe." So, bust out your camera and show us what you've got!

When the idea for BodyRock Sport was born, I didn't have any experience in fashion design but I did have the best ingredients for starting a company, namely an honest vision, immense experience in the business world, a graduate degree in communications and marketing with an emphasis in luxury consumption, innate artistic abilites, and an insatiable desire for all things fabulous.

One of my favorite aspects of living in New York City is being able to immerse myself in cutlural experiences 24/7/365. Yesterday, I went to the "punk: chaos to couture" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and I felt very moved--so much so that I will be rolling out a serious of blogs paying homage to this very cool exhibit, which was sponsored by Moda Operandi, a pioneer in the fashion industry. 

The spring runway unleashed a barrage of new trends in the fashion world-namely, florals, stripes, laces and leathers. With the exception of stripes, we have you covered! Since I was a little girl, I've always been a girly girl with some spice, and BodyRock Sport's floral pieces are certainly a reflection of that!

My favorite aspect of being a designer is my ability to create activewear items that can truly be worn from day-to-night so that you can get the most bang for your buck.

Prior to launching BodyRock Sport, I had a drawer filled with fitness clothes that did the job but they did not make feel the way I wanted to feel. I wanted to feel inspired, just like I do when I put on a fabulous dress or a sexy pair of heels.

When I first started BodyRock Sport, my debut collection consisted of 12 bras. At the time, I was not sure whether I would ever venture into other categories. That didn't last long!

Yesterday, I went to The Fitness Atlantic Show in Connecticut in order to better visualize being on stage, since I make my bikini diva debut in Montreal on April 27! I learned a lot yesterday but the most important discovery that I made is that your smile will make or break you on stage!

As many of you know, when I designed my SS2013 collection, I was on the verge of getting hitched. Thus, the entire collection is centered around the theme of love and marriage. When we decided to create a ring print based on my gorgeous Knight&Hammer engagement ring, I didn't really know how people would respond to this very fashion-forward design. 

As many of you know, I am switching gears in my training regimen, transitioning from the world of triathlon into the uncharted territory of weight lifting. I was thinking about this forever, unsure as to whether I wanted to make the change, and then wondering what on earth I was waiting for. About 1.5 months ago, I joined TBA (Total Body Advantage) and am training for The WBFF Diva Bikini Competition in Montreal. 

When I first came up with the idea for BodyRock Sport, I was taking jewelry design classes at SVA in New York City. At the time, I had just finished making a rose gold snake necklace with turquoise eyes. It was pretty amazing.

So, I know I've been driving a lot of you crazy with all of the images I have been posting with sneak peeks into the future of BodyRock. And I've done a fantastic job keeping my couture secret hidden. But I can't wait any longer.

If there is one summer trend that continues to prevail, it's the floral print. Even when I thought that perhaps this floral trend would fade, our florals continue to come out on top. The fall runways were covered with florals, just cooler and darker. Valentino, for example, really delivered by incorporating reds and nudes into their fall collection. And the result was fierce. 

We all know that I have a penchant for metallics. Our company logo contains both gold and silver. My wedding colors were black, fuchsia, gold and gunmetal. My wedding dress was silver. And the list goes on and on. 

For me, gold and silver are neutrals. You will never spot me wearing black from head-to-toe. Metallics have the amazing ability to give an extra boost to any outfit. So, when it was time to come out with new colorways of The Venomous Vixen Moto Jacket, I couldn't help but fantastize about gold and silver fabric for the body. 

When I forgot to register for the New York City marathon this year, I was upset but by no means heartbroken. I ran last year and finished in 3:37:19, a time that I was quite happy with considering my hectic schedule. This year, I was so immersed in planning my wedding that the marathon was the farthest thing from my mind. My husband, however, who is a stellar triathlete, registered and I was so excited to be captain of his cheerleading squad. 

I absolutely love gray and gunmetal, both independently and combined. My husband is the laundry master, and he's always commenting on how many tanks I have. This is a true story. I have a major tank fetish. Some call it a problem; others call it a way of life. 

In Style recently reported that black and gold is a major trend for Fall 2012.

I immediately thought, "Jeez, really? When hasn't this combo been in style?' (pun intended).

Are we ahead of the curve or are editor simply running out of interesting content? I mean, our signature colors are black, gold, gunmetal and fuchsia, after all! 

In the spirit of Halloween, I thought it was necessary to give some love to the undying skull trend. Let's face it-most skulls are pretty cheesy looking, but if designed tastefully, they can go from lame to totally luxurious. I have been a sucker for McQueen skulls for a few years now. I first acquired the signature skull print scarves and have since collected a few clutches--in fact, I even wore a gold lizard skin knuckle duster with my gold sequined Zuhair Murad corseted dress. Oh, what a night we had!

A few weeks ago, I was fabric hunting and stumbled upon an exquisite crushed gold velvet, which reeks of ultra glam chic! I then started fantasazing about making a gold velvet bra from The Zip 'em Up Collection with a perforated gold spandex lining, a gold zipper with black tape, and hundreds of tiny Dorado Swarovski crystals...so I bought the fabric and VOILA! Then I posted the photo on instagram and instantly sold three.

My love for luxury has been undeniable since the instant I was born. And my refusal to settle for anything less than the best was really what sparked my desire to launch BodyRock Sport, since I was incredibly dissatisified with the options in the active wear market. I simply refuse to buy anything that I do not love. I mean, why even bother? I want to feel my best 24/7. Don't you? 

I had an incredible weekend. On Saturday, I competed in The Brooklyn Half-Marathon with my beau and a few friends from my triathlon team. I wore The Adrienne Shorts with The Determined Ladies Bra from The Dim Your Headlights Collection, which will be coming out in about a month, and was named in honor of New York Road Runners' Team for Kids. 

Last night, Andrew and I filmed with Joseph Knight of Knight&Hammer for the TLC show we're being featured on, which is called My Big Day. We had our wedding band consultation and it was nothing short of amazing. Joseph Knight truly is DYN-O-MITE! In addition to sketching out our incredible rings and understanding the history behind the ring that served as this inspiration for our respective designs, he surprised me with this incredible crown neckalce called "Crown d'Kelly," which was inspired by my upcoming nuptials to SuperMan Andrew Kalley. (I am honored to be called Joseph's SuperMuse).

Believe it or not, I am quite the domestic diva. When I am not conquering the fitness/fashion world, I am home cooking for the love of my life. It's one of the only ways that I effectively relax. And just like anything else creative, I love inventing recipes. And thankfully, Andrew is not a picky eater, so I am able to make anything that tickles my fancy.

No matter what I buy, whether it be a dress, a sexy pair of stilettos, or a new shade of lipstick, I want to not only LOVE my purchase but also to feel beautiful. And no matter how big your wallet is, you should abide by this philosophy, as adopting this mindset will make you a much more decisive, efficient, and happy shopper.

I've always fantasized about Coachella. Being from California, I can't believe that this has not happened. But I have been on the east coast for nearly 10 years and am always busy, busy, busy. So, a girl can dream, right? Surreal music, perfect weather and a diverse crowd sounds simply divine if you ask me.

I spent six glorious days in Miami last week, and one of the best things that happened was that I discovered that AG jeans finally got cool. They hired a new design team, and the difference is truly astounding. One of my besties wanted to make a drive-by to pick up a pair of jeans, and I wasn't expecting to find anything eye-catching. But boy was I wrong! 

By now, most of you are probably aware of the fact that I am addicted to racing. I've embraced the fact that I am not a normal person, as I don't fit any mold. This especially applies to my style. So, when I first joined the triathlon team at Chelsea Piers, which my soon-to-be hubby coaches, I wasn't too thrilled by the uniform.

Fancy sandals are what made Giuseppi Zanotti famous. I remember buying my first pair at Neiman Marcus at the one-and-only Fashion Island in SoCal. Although a few of the crystals are now missing (nearly seven years later), I still have them. No, I don't wear them anymore but they hold a special place in my heart because they represent Zanotti's astonishing growth over the past decade. Watching designers evolve is really exciting for me for obvious reasons. 

A few months ago, I found out that I was nominated by Stiletto Woman for Start Up Entreprenuer of the Year. Once I found out that I was a finalist, I asked my beau if he could accompany me for a weekend in Atlanta. Naturally, I was honored. Around the same time, I was talking with Jim Whitlow, the owner of Deka Atlanta, and he told me about the Publix half-marathon, which was taking place the same weekend as the awards ceremony. Stoked, I I registered immediately, as did Andrew. 

Recently, when we were exhibiting at The CURVE Expo at The Javitts Center, I met a lovely woman in her 40s, also a designer, but also a wife of 20 years and busy mother of two, who pulled me aside after learning that I am happily engaged, and said, "Kelly, do you want to know the secret to a happy marriage?"

Curious, I said, "Of course." And she said, "Cooking for your man and dressing up. After 20 years, I still do both, and we remain as happy as ever." Naturally, I responded with, "Well, duh!" 

Remember when grunge was hot? Well, I do. I was in eighth grade, was obsessed with Kurt Cobain, and lived in my ripped Levi's. A lot has changed since then, and I am very grateful for that! A couple years ago, grunge was resurrected from the dead when Current/Elliott became popular for making the "boyfriend jeans" trendy. Then every other major jeans brand followed suit. Before we knew it, combat boots and other uber masculine accessories dominated the runways.

As many of you have probably figured out, I have a Miu Miu sneaker obsession. I've become a borderline monomaniac. My closet is already filled to the brim with stilettos. But now many pairs of gorgeous Miu Miu sneakers are creeping their way into my colorful closet. For Valentine's Day, I received these incredible gold glittery low tops, which are going to be delectable when combined with my Jaclyn Moto Jacket and Nora Skinny Leggings. Not to mention that wide vartety of bras. Durga, check. Megan, check. Sophie, check.

Not a day goes by where someone doesn't compliment my skin or mentions how "done up" I always look. They say, "Gosh, how early do you wake up to get ready in the morning?" Yes, I rise at 4:45 am but that's only to go to the gym to get my triathlon training on! My actual beauty regimen is quite simple, and there are a few items in particular that I can't imagine life without.

As many of you know, I have the honor of knowing (and of loving) Joseph Knight, the mastermind of Knight&Hammer, which, in a matter of two years, has become my all-time favorite jewelry line. I met Joseph in 2010, and we immediately hit it off after we decided to create The World's Most Expensive Sports Bra together (aka The Trenta Bra). This bra went viral, and from there, our desire to work together became insatiable. And, as a result, a beautiful friendship blossomed. He then designed my engagement ring, which is totally one-of-a-kind and a perfect represenation of my personality.

I LOVE dressing up. Sometimes, I think I was born in the wrong era solely because of my desire to doll myself up all the time. But I also LOVE mixing and matching a variety of brands, including my own. A few nights ago, my darling man and I went to a friend's birthday party in Brooklyn Heights, and being that I knew I'd be in the company of a casual crowd, I decided to opt for a trendy look rather than more a "done up" one.

I am obsessed with eyelashes. Besides teeth and skin, they're one of the first things I notice about people. Why is it that so many men have such perfect lashes? Hmmm, pretty amazing. Like my hubby-to-be. So long and shiny! 

Admittedly, I used to detest the look of false eyelashes, but in recent months, I realized that it's only those cheap and long lashes that don't appeal to me. And a lot of women seem to think that because they already have nice lashes, they don't need fake eyelashes.
